MSES has a long history of undertaking a managing role during refit and docking periods for vessels, both pleasure and commercial. This can apply to haul out for surveys, conversion projects or any extraordinary projects involving modification of the vessels structure.
Our involvement will start right at the beginning, from the planning of work to be executed, with regards given to the class and flag survey items, normal dry-dock work, the upcoming program for the vessel and special projects as requested by the owner or Captain in conjunction with the vessels crew. We will highlight potential pitfalls that may be encountered along the way.
Quotations can then be tendered by various contractors and estimates given, which will provide the basic cost projections for the project.
From here a facility will be located that will best be able to fulfill the scope of work created in accordance with the budget drawn up. MSES has close relation ships with many dry-dock operators and facilities in the region, as well as the reputable contracting companies.
MSES will be working on site with the shipyard and contractors, ensuring that the project is kept on schedule; all work done is of high quality and the project adheres to budget. As with all our undertakings, a detailed and accurate report will be provided.
There will be assistance and advice given all the way through the project from concept to delivery with initial meetings at the yard, to the haul out of the vessel all the way through to satisfactory completion of sea trials and any warranty work.
